Welcome to Sugden Farm! Nestled along the north branch of the Two River just a mile outside of Hallock, MN, our private property includes over 80 acres of trails and fields, creating a true adventure for your photo session that's unlike any other. A perfect spot for senior sessions, you can enjoy a unique location that's not only beautiful, but FUN too--we even have a beach! When we shoot your session here, you will also have access to all my props, including a collection of colorful chairs, several tree swings, a tire swing, and even a century-old barn! To get around the property we'll hop aboard our 6-passenger Polaris Ranger with plenty of room for your family, your clothes, and even a box to carry props in the back! Zipping around the farmyard in the Ranger allows us to explore, have fun, and scope out more locations!

ABOUT SUGDEN FARM

Just a mile down the road from our farmyard you can find my indoor studio and gallery showroom located on the north end of our large farm shop. This is where all of my ordering appointments are held, with a wide variety of samples you can view in person right on the walls! I also photograph headshots, children and newborns in my newly remodeled all white studio room. This building also conveniently includes a full kitchen, laundry, a large bathroom and dressing room with a changing table, 70 inch TV and closet full of toys to keep younger siblings busy when they tag along to sessions! Take a look around and see why it's worth the drive to make the visit to Sugden Farm for your senior session!

ABOUT SUGDEN STUDIO

I’m a farmer’s wife, mama of three boys, and a portrait and wedding photographer for over fifteen years.  Megan Sugden Photography was established in 2005, but my interest in photography started years before at the age of sixteen when I received my very first film camera. Once it was in my hands, it never left! I have always loved taking pictures, and I still remember the good ol’ days of sending film off in the mail and waiting for the prints to return. Eventually I started developing my own negatives, spending countless hours in the darkroom and printing my own photos.

I spent my college years studying photojournalism and graphic design at Minnesota State University Moorhead, soaking up everything I possibly could about photography. I also spent a year at Northern Arizona University, learning from amazing professors and furthering my education with advanced classes and access to the latest equipment.

I graduated from MSUM in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Mass Comm with a minor in Photojournalism.   I switched from film to my first digital SLR, worked in freelance for a year, and officially launched Megan Sugden Photography in 2005. By the summer of 2007, I was able to resign from my day job and focus on my photography full time and I've been doing it ever since… which, for me, was a dream come true!

I also teach photography classes and run several other photography brands including Kittson County Skies and Bowtie Bub (yes, my cat has more Instagram followers than I do!)   I am proud to offer my clients years of experience and education, photographing hundreds of weddings and thousands of portrait sessions over the years--and I can't wait to photograph YOUR next session!
